WPP’s Always appoints Jeffrey Wu as executive vice president

ASIA-PACIFIC – CHINA, AUGUST 13, 2013 – Digital expert Jeffrey Wu has joined WPP’s Always Marketing Services, one of the largest field and shopper marketing agencies in China, as executive vice president.

In addition to managing Always’ Beijing office, Wu will focus on developing digital capability and expertise and digitizing the company’s existing field marketing services.

Wu joins Always from CIG Advertising, where he was until recently the president of the digital agency, which specializes in automotive marketing. He also serves as vice chairman of the Professionals Panel of Effie Greater China and vice chairman of Effie Taiwan, and has judged digital awards at numerous industry shows.

“His digital expertise will further enrich our positioning of total field marketing solutions,” said Barry Leung, president of Always.

Speaking on his appointment, Wu said: “Digital marketing is now booming in China, and I believe the digital retail marketing will be the future of clients in today’s mobile Internet era. Wu has worked across categories from automotive to FMCG, telecom and entertainment to name a few and on brands such as Chang’an Ford, Ford China, FW-Mazda, BMW, Moto, China Mobile, BJ-Mobile, Microsoft, Sohu, Disney Hong Kong, GSK and Kimberly.
