Fully Booked and Kinokuniya expand partnership with first Cebu branch

CEBU CITY, PHILIPPINES — The Queen City of the South welcomes a new literary and cultural destination as Fully Booked once again partners with Japan’s renowned Books Kinokuniya to open a collaborative store in Cebu. The branch officially opened its doors on August 22, 2025, at SM City Cebu, marking the partnership’s first foray outside Metro Manila.

The Fully Booked x Kinokuniya Cebu store promises an unparalleled browsing experience for readers and pop culture enthusiasts alike. Visitors can expect Fully Booked’s signature curated collection of trade books alongside Kinokuniya’s extensive lineup of Japanese titles from manga and literature to art books and language learning materials. The collaboration also extends beyond books, offering an impressive selection of Japanese stationery, toys, collectibles, and anime-themed merchandise.

While Fully Booked already operates four branches in Cebu, this new location is the first Kinokuniya collaboration store in the city and the fifth in the Philippines, following successful openings at MITSUKOSHI BGC (2022), SM Mall of Asia (2023), SM North Edsa (2024), and Glorietta 4 (June 2025).

The Cebu branch is the 46th Fully Booked store nationwide, underscoring the brand’s commitment to making books and literary culture accessible to more Filipinos. The company has also hinted at additional openings in key locations throughout 2025.
