Omnicom Media Group hires head for Ignition Factory

ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, JANUARY 19, 2012: Omnicom Media Group (OMG) appointed Jeremy Paul to head Ignition Factory, the company’s division that helps brands develop storytelling and activation which sit at the heart of campaigns.

Paul joins Ignition Factory from McCann Erickson Japan, where he headed its Integrated Communications Planning, developing this as a unique proposition in Japan. Prior to McCann, Jeremy was the global strategy director for MediaEdge, working on accounts such as Star Alliance, Paramount Pictures Int’l, Activision Blizzard games, Chanel and Barclays Capital.

“Everyone loves a great storyteller and everything about a brand can be storytelling material. Jeremy’s background in communications will act as a catalyst in developing amazing stories for our clients’ brands and products to generate momentum for our client’s communications budget,” says Barry Cupples, CEO of OMG Asia-Pacific, whom Paul will report to.

“Clients are finding it exciting to work with a tight team of strategists and creatives who obsess about brand stories, then place these at the heart of communications strategies, using fresh consumer insight to uncover how a dry brand fact can be turned into an engaging brand story which makes people stop, think, share and act,” Jeremy Paul said.
