MANILA, PHILIPPINES – ABS-CBN, the Philippines’ leading media and entertainment company, has secured its first syndication agreement in India through a multi-title streaming deal with Amazon MX Player, marking the first time Filipino drama series will be carried on the platform.
Under the agreement, seven ABS-CBN drama series, namely “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay,” “2 Good 2 Be True,” “Can’t Buy Me Love,” “Senior High,” “Love in 40 Days,” “He’s Into Her,” and “He’s Into Her Season 2,” will launch on the platform in 2026.

The deal marks ABS-CBN’s entry into India’s fast-growing OTT market via Amazon MX Player, one of the country’s largest free ad-supported video-on-demand (AVOD) services with over 250 million monthly active users.
Industry data indicates that 70–80% of OTT viewing hours in India are driven by free, ad-supported platforms, underscoring the strategic importance of AVOD in the market.
While Amazon MX Player carries a broad selection of Chinese, Korean, Turkish and Thai dramas on top of its original content, the ABS-CBN package will represent the platform’s first Filipino drama titles. The series will be dubbed in Hindi and possibly in other Indian languages.
The agreement was concluded by ABS-CBN’s International Sales Division and forms part of the company’s distribution across South and Southeast Asia as most of the titles from the same slate have also been licensed in various Asian territories.
With over 50,000 hours of content sold to more than 50 countries worldwide, ABS-CBN continues to expand the global reach of Filipino storytelling across broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms.
