MANILA, PHILIPPINES – EastWest Ageas has once again earned recognition on the regional HR stage, securing a Bronze Award in the Addressing Urban Workforce Challenges category at the 2025 HR Excellence Awards Philippines. This marks the fast-rising insurance company’s second consecutive win, following its recognition in the Excellence in Learning and Development category last year.
Now on its fourth year, the HR Excellence Awards celebrate the region’s most forward-thinking HR teams and leaders. The Addressing Urban Workforce Challenges category, in particular, honors organizations that adopt sustainable and people-first strategies to overcome the demands of urban work environments.
The recognition comes as a result of EastWest Ageas’ Hybrid Workplace Program, a people driven initiative shaped directly by employee feedback. Through internal surveys, the company found that its workforce preferred the flexibility of a hybrid arrangement, complemented by improvements to its on-site facilities.
Acting on these insights, EastWest Ageas implemented a two day on-site, three day remote setup, while enhancing its offices with more meeting rooms and private spaces for confidential work. This approach not only fostered greater productivity and efficiency but also strengthened talent acquisition, with the company reporting a 5% increase in hiring rate since the program’s launch.
