MANILA, PHILIPPINES – GMA Network continues to make its mark on the global stage, securing two Finalist Certificates at the prestigious 16th Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards, a festival that honors excellence in corporate films, online media productions and documentaries.

The Network’s innovative election campaign, “GMA Integrated News #Eleksyonaryo: The Dapat Totoo Digital Exclusives,” was recognized in the Social Media Videos category. The initiative sought to engage, educate and empower the youth in preparation for #Eleksyon2025. Through a compelling series of digital exclusive content, the campaign successfully broadened its reach while promoting responsible citizenship and encouraging young Filipinos to take an active role in shaping the nation’s democratic process.
Meanwhile, “I-Witness: Kapalit ng Katahimikan,” a hard hitting documentary from GMA Public Affairs, received a Finalist Certificate in the Human Concerns and Social Issues category. Hosted by multi-awarded journalist and documentarist Kara David, the program delved into a sensitive cultural practice in an indigenous community in Mindanao, where victims are compelled to marry their abusers or accept minimal compensation to preserve family honor and prevent clan conflict. The episode cast a necessary spotlight on this deeply troubling tradition, igniting public discourse and calls for social reform.

The Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards, held annually in Cannes, France, is recognized as one of the world’s leading festivals celebrating creative and impactful storytelling. The 16th edition of the awards ceremony will take place on September 24-25, 2025, with GMA Network once again standing as a proud representative of Filipino excellence in media and storytelling on the international stage.
