Home Credit Philippines makes Pride Month 2025 Makulay at Home

TAGUIG, PHILIPPINES – In a vibrant celebration of diversity and inclusion, Home Credit Philippines (HCPH), the country’s leading consumer finance company marked Pride Month 2025 with a series of dynamic initiatives designed to create a workplace where every individual, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, feels truly at home.

Anchored on the theme “Makulay ang PRIDE at HOME #AtHomeKaDito,” the month-long celebration was spearheaded by the Pride Club, HCPH’s employee resource group for LGBTQIA+ employees and allies. Since its launch in 2022, the Pride Club has served as a driving force in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) within the company.

The Pride Month festivities began in May with a general assembly that gathered nearly 200 Pride Club members. The event introduced new club officers, revisited key milestones, and outlined upcoming initiatives. A highlight of the event was the “I Am Remarkable” workshop led by Chris Eugenio, board member and advisor for the Philippine Financial & Inter-Industry Pride (PFIP), which encouraged employees to lead with authenticity and embrace their identities with pride.

Throughout the month, HCPH launched a series of interactive and expressive activities to further embed DE&I in the daily fabric of the organization. These included:

  • Pose with Pride: A mirror installation in the office where employees could reflect, literally and metaphorically on their own Pride stories.
  • Express Your Pride: A social media campaign inviting employees to update their profile photos using a custom frame and share their Pride journeys on Facebook and Instagram.

The centerpiece of the celebration was the Pride Town Hall, thematically focused on: “Makulay ang Pakikibaka. Makulay ang Pagkilala. Makulay ang Pag-ibig.”

The event featured empowering discussions on LGBTQIA+ rights, advocacy, and inclusion with guest speakers:

  • Portia La-ab, TQACE Head and ESG Lead at HCPH
  • Joie Cortina, a queer Filipina feminist researcher and activist
  • Arjhay Puod, a noted human and trans rights advocate

The Town Hall also spotlighted the search for the new Pride Club Ambassador, where six employees from different departments shared their personal stories, talents and advocacies. The initiative highlighted how inclusivity fosters both individuality and unity within the company.

The celebration concluded with HCPH’s participation in the LOV3LABAN Pride PH Festival 2025 at the University of the Philippines Diliman, where 200 employees from Pangasinan, Cavite and the National Capital Region joined over 407,000 marchers across the country calling for equality.

“Our Pride Month celebration reflects what Home Credit stands for—a workplace where everyone feels safe, valued, and empowered to thrive. Pride Month is not just a celebration, but a reminder of our commitment to champion diversity, equity, and inclusion every day. Through the Pride Club, we will continue to foster genuine empowerment and visibility for the LGBTQIA+ community and help build a culture where everyone feels at home, every voice is heard, and every shade of Pride is celebrated, said Portia La-ab, HCPH ESG Lead.
