MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Radio drama has long been a cherished Filipino storytelling tradition from emotional family sagas to gripping thrillers that captivated generations. Now, that cultural legacy is entering the digital age. RMN Networks Marketing and Media Ventures, the creative and marketing arm of RMN Networks, has powered up a new era of audio storytelling through a strategic partnership with Podcast Network Asia (PNA) to launch SeryeFM.
The collaboration, formally sealed last month, unites RMN’s century-spanning legacy in radio drama with PNA’s digital-first expertise.

What Is SeryeFM?
SeryeFM is Southeast Asia’s first dedicated app for premium Filipino audio dramas, offering serialized stories across genres like romance, comedy, slice-of-life, and more. With original content tailored to resonate with Filipino sensibilities, the app allows for on-demand binge listening, background play, and exclusive storytelling—all curated to fit the Filipino mood and daily lifestyle.
Heritage Meets Innovation
This partnership is more than corporate synergy — it’s a cultural milestone.
“Human experiences are made richer when they are put in the different contexts of life and circumstance. More than anything, it’s being able to showcase the tatak RMN legacy of radio dramas to more audiences in the language they know and love,” said Erika Canoy-Sanchez, EVP & COO of RMN-MMV.

“RMN built a legacy in radio dramas that’s so deeply Filipino — people grew up with it. On the other hand, PNA has been shaping audio for today’s generation through podcasts and digital-first shows. So when you put those two worlds together, you get something familiar but fresh. Think of it as honoring the tradition of drama storytelling, while experimenting with the pacing, formats, and production values that podcasts bring. Listeners can expect stories that feel both nostalgic and new.” added by Ron Baetiong, CEO of PNA.
By combining RMN’s emotional tradition with PNA’s high-quality digital storytelling, the collaboration ensures content that is both nostalgic and refreshingly modern.
Amplifying Regional Narratives
It’s also a moment for regional inclusion.
“Yes, with pilot versions in the more nationally known languages of Cebuano/Visayan and Hiligaynon, we are excited to create more stories especially for our northern listeners such as Ilocano,” shared Erika.
This hyperlocal approach ensures that SeryeFM delivers audio drama that is authentic, familiar, and rooted in community identity.
A New Digital Home for Radio Drama
Currently available only on platforms like Spotify, SeryeFM is going to launch soon as a full-fledged standalone app.
“The app gives us freedom. On Spotify, we were limited to just being another podcast. With SeryeFM, we’re creating a full ecosystem where listeners can discover, binge, and even interact with content designed for them. It’s not just about listening — it’s about being part of a community,” said Ron.
He added, “RMN has an unmatched legacy in drama, and PNA brings the technology and digital audience know-how. Together, we’re not just reviving the golden age of Filipino audio drama — we’re redefining it for today’s listeners.”
Looking Ahead
For RMN-MMV and PNA, this is just the beginning as the partnership aims to deliver original co-created dramas, crafted uniquely for digital audiences and expanding to new genres like lifestyle, talk, investigative, and beyond.
“Our ultimate goal is to pioneer the true digital pivot of hyperlocal radio dramas — reimagined for a digital-first audience and delivered through hyperlocal execution,” said Tristan Nacino, Innovations Director, RMN-MMV.
Year One Ambitions
The vision is to ignite widespread interest, with millions rediscovering the magic of audio drama. By launching one or two standout originals that have the potential to become cultural touchstones, the medium can capture the imagination of a new generation. While RMN’s legacy dramas remain accessible on every station, this partnership expands the reach to millions nationwide through the network’s hyperlocal connections.
A New Era for Filipino Storytelling

This is more than innovation, it’s a reawakening. With tradition and modernity in harmony, RMN-MMV and PNA are setting a new standard for Filipino storytelling, one that speaks directly to the heart, in the languages and formats that audiences truly connect with.
Kicking off this new chapter is “Blood in the Barangay,” the first 360x Studios original drama to premiere on SeryeFM. Beginning this October, listeners can stream it for free on the SeryeFM Spotify account and streaming site.
