Exponential Interactive promotes Kelvin Tan to lead operations in Southeast & North Asia

ASIA-PACIFIC – KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, September 20, 2013 – Advertising intelligence and digital media solutions provider Exponential Interactive has announced the appointment of Kelvin Tan as general manager, Southeast Asia & North Asia.

 
Prior to the promotion, Tan was the country manager of Malaysia, Thailand & Hong Kong at Exponential. 
 
“Kelvin has played a pivotal role in building the Exponential brand in Malaysia’s digital advertising market and has an enormous network of contacts. He has been instrumental in driving the demand for online advertising in the region and his focus and engagement with media agencies has been extremely successful,” said John McKoy, managing director of Exponential APAC and Africa.
 
Prior to Exponential, Kelvin worked at Komli Media (previously AdMax). He then joined Exponential Malaysia as business director and during that tenure of over three years he set up Exponential’s business operations in the country and managed the company’s expansion into other international markets across the Southeast Asia region.
 
Tan commented “Exponential has witnessed terrific growth across the region over the past four years and I believe that we are in a very dynamic space right now with the Southeast Asia region fast embracing the digital wave. I am thrilled to be at the helm and I believe that we are well placed to become the preferred digital advertising partner in this market.”
 
In his new role, Tan will be focused on growing Exponential’s market position in the region by increasing demand for Exponential’s audience engagement divisions – Tribal Fusion, Firefly Video, AdoTube and Appsnack. 
 
As general manager, Tan will be focused on understanding the strategic requirements of the company’s customers and overseeing Exponential’s strategy and operations to meet their digital advertising needs.
 
“Kelvin’s rich experience in media and advertising as well as expertise in cross-platform solutions will help us deliver high-impact, high-engagement campaigns across display, video and mobile media to our customers. His proven track-record, in-depth industry knowledge and sharp business acumen will undoubtedly take the Exponential business from strength-to-strength,” said McKoy.
 
With 16 years of media sales experience in the Southeast Asia region, Tan has evolved as a media sales professional from big screen to small screen because of his experience in cinema, print, TV and online media.
