Campaign Spotlight: Everyday Technology Can Create “Profoundly Human Moments”, as Shown in Spark’s “Wedding Speech” Ad with Colenso BBDO

Spark has launched a new film called Wedding Speech via Colenso BBDO, continuing its Little Can Be Huge series. It tells the story of the months leading up to a wedding. An already emotional time is complicated by the sudden hospitalisation of the bride’s father. As it unfolds, the film looks at the powerful connection between a father and daughter, their shared optimism, and a wedding gift made possible by everyday technology.

Directed by Christopher Riggert at Finch, Wedding Speech juxtaposes the audio from the wedding day celebration with pictures showing the often-fraught journey running up to the big day. The technique highlights the wide range of emotions that are a hallmark of every close relationship, blending happiness and sadness to create something textured and real.
