ADFEST 2011 Seminar: Hakuhodo examines creative thinking beyond advertising

ASIA-PACIFIC – BANGKOK, THAILAND, FEBRUARY 22, 2011 – What if admen applied their creative thinking outside the advertising realm to influence the world at large? What skills would they then need? Hakuhodo Inc., one of Japan’s leading agencies, will begin to answer these questions in a seminar called “Leading the Non-Ad Charge”.

The seminar will presented by Toshiya Kono, Executive Creative Director, and Usagi Ishii, Creative Director at Hakuhodo Inc. in Tokyo.

Kono studied Economics at Kyoto University before joining Hakuhodo in1983. He has represented Japan on the jury of the London International Advertising Awards from 1998 to 2006, and has received many international and domestic awards.

Ishii grew up in many different cities including Johannesburg, South Africa and a little town called Dumont in the USA. As Creative Director, she works on multi-national client projects and has brought home a collection of Bronze, Silver and Gold trophies from various international advertising festivals.

In a world where anyone can potentially drive social change, admen are well placed to become agents of change. Kono and Ishii will showcase some of the people and agencies who are driving the non-advertising charge, proving that creativity is the power that fuels our industry forward.

The seminar takes place on Thursday 17th March 2011 at 2:30pm. To book your ticket to ADFEST – which runs on beautiful Karon Beach, Phuket from 17-19th March 2011 – visit www.adfest.com.
