TEQUILASingapore hires former adidas global digital strategy head

ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, AUGUST 1, 2011 – TEQUILA\Singapore, TBWA’s digital specialist brand, announced last week the appointment of Steven Watson as Director of Digital Strategy.
 
After a number of years working on the agency side in account management and strategic planning, Watson moved to adidas, rising rapidly to become Head of Digital Strategy for adidas at the global level. 
 
With experience spanning a multitude of clients including Nokia and SAAB, Watson brings strong expertise to the team. His campaign planning responsibilities have been widespread and he has carved out a distinction for himself in terms of securing deep rooted consumer insights and translating them into highly effective online strategies – in both stand-alone and integrated channel output. A notable example was a real-time Facebook campaign that ran for the duration of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
 
Having worked previously in both London and Amsterdam, Watson commented on his move, “Working with adidas and in Amsterdam was a great time for me creatively and strategically, but I feel very much at home in Singapore and at TEQUILA, due to the team’s commitment to be best in class through insights and great work. It feels like a natural progression for me.”
