Pop culture icons share real-life stories in San Miguel Pale Pilsen’s #SaTotooLang series

MANILA – In San Miguel Pale Pilsen’s latest campaign entitled #SaTotooLang, the brand leveraged on that one advertising trend that will never go out of style–authenticity.

Created by McCann Worldgroup and Straight Shooters, San Miguel Pale Pilsen featured the stories of three of the most well-known pop culture icons–Manix Abrera, Curtismith, and Team Manila.

Manix Abrera is a famous comic artist. Lines snake around every time he graces the halls of any Komikon. But in #SaTotooLang series, he reveals that entering other professions has also crossed in mind. However, in his heart, he knew that telling stories through his comics is what he’s truly passionate about. To give back, he teaches young ones to be able to do the same.

In another installment, Curtismith shares how he’s finally able to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming a rapper even if it wasn’t an easy path to take, and even if it was tiring, he chose to follow his heart.

The third story is about renowned graphic design studio and lifestyle brand, Team Manila, founded by Jowee Alviar and Mon Punzalan. These two artists’ love for design and for their country is too overpowering that other than producing nationalistic designs and lifestyle items, they helped push a law to support graphic designers in the Philippines.

San Miguel Pale Pilsen’s #SaTotooLang series aim to make the brand more relatable to the younger audience while being true their slogan: Sarap ng Orig. Sarap ng Totoo.
