Scoot’s SG60 campaign takes flight: Bridging generations through travel

SINGAPORE – As Singapore marks its 60th year of independence Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines celebrates the milestone with a campaign that champions culture and the spirit of exploration. The third instalment of its annual National Day initiative, Pushing Boundaries, Connecting Generations, draws inspiration from SG60’s theme of nation building and the generations of Singaporeans who have shaped the nation’s story.

The campaign goes beyond airfare discounts and celebratory fanfare, spotlighting travel as a means to deepen relationships. Partnering with local content creators Charmaine Yee, Pamela Lee Shuhadah, and J Jaikishan, Scoot curated journeys to Ipoh, Perth and Shantou – destinations chosen for their authentic cultural heritage and understated charm. From batik painting in Ipoh to sandboarding in Perth and kueh making in Shantou, the itineraries encouraged participants to slow down, share experiences and forge deeper bonds with loved ones.

“At Scoot, we’ve always believed that travel is more than just getting from one place to another. It’s also about forging connections, creating memories, and reflecting on the journeys that shape us. As a homegrown brand, this campaign celebrates the spirit of stepping out of one’s comfort zone, be it beyond borders or in our relationships with our loved ones. We hope that this campaign inspires more to make time for those who matter, reconnect with their loved ones through travel and forge treasured memories together,” said Agatha Yap, Scoot Director of Marketing, Communications and Loyalty.

Scoot complements the storytelling with limited-time SG60 promotional fares from Singapore to 60 destinations, available from 6 to 8 August 2025 for travel starting 18 August. KrisFlyer members booking between 15 and 17 August will earn 60% more bonus miles. For aviation and design enthusiasts, the airline is also launching a limited-edition aircraft model designed in collaboration with LASALLE College of the Arts. The model’s vibrant patterns drawing from traditional Southeast Asian umbrellas reflect both cultural diversity and the intersection of art and travel.
