LONDON, UK – In the latest evolution of creator powered philanthropy, #TeamWater has launched with an ambitious mission: to raise $40 million in just one month and bring clean water to 2 million people around the world for decades to come.
Led by YouTube creators MrBeast and Mark Rober, and supported by some of the biggest names in content creation from Kai Cenat and Michelle Khare to Zach King, Dude Perfect, Gordon Ramsay, and Hank Green – the campaign is a rallying cry for creators and communities to unite for a global cause. The premise is striking in its simplicity: $1 provides clean water for one person for a year.
The movement builds on the viral success of #TeamTrees and #TeamSeas, tapping into the same formula of digital influence, shared purpose and mass participation. The goal this time is urgent yet achievable – to combat the water crisis exacerbated by climate change, drought and infrastructure breakdown. Today, 1 in 10 people still lack access to clean drinking water, a solvable problem if met with the right resources and long-term commitment.

Partnering with WaterAid, a 40-year-old, globally trusted NGO with operations in more than 30 countries, #TeamWater is focused on sustainable, scalable infrastructure. This includes piped water systems for schools and homes, solar-powered pumps, rainwater harvesting, water filtration systems and mobile water quality labs. Crucially, each project includes local training to ensure communities can maintain systems for the long haul.
The impact will be felt from urban megacities like Lagos to some of the world’s most remote rural areas. By working in partnership with governments, local organizations and residents, the initiative aims to deliver lasting solutions – not just temporary fixes.

The urgency is clear: clean water means fewer preventable diseases like cholera and dysentery, more children in school and stronger, healthier communities. As #TeamWater asserts, “Where you live should not determine whether you get clean, life-saving water or not.”
With hundreds of creators already on board across 21 countries and six continents, the momentum to participate is growing.. The clock is ticking until August 31, and every video, livestream and social share could be the drop that helps tip the bucket toward $40 million and a future where clean water is a right, not a privilege.
