BANGKOK, THAILAND — In a time when cyber scams threaten to erode public confidence in digital communications, VML Thailand and Whoscall have unveiled a campaign that reframes online protection from an individual struggle into a shared responsibility.

Developed under the concept “Innovating for Trust, Powered by People,” the campaign draws on insights from the growing sophistication of online scams that undermine everyday trust. Whoscall positions itself as a “Trust Enabler,”with a renewed mission: “Together, Trust Grows Stronger.”
At the center of the campaign is a visually striking film directed by Thay Littichai, which uses “light” as a metaphor for vigilance and safety. Drawing inspiration from historical traditions where communities lit torches to ward off threats, the film reimagines this act through mobile phone flashlights, one by one illuminating the darkness as individuals signal to each other. Accompanied by Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, the piece conveys a universal message: collective vigilance is the key to stronger trust.
According to the Whoscall Report 2025, scams are no longer isolated incidents but part of daily life. A survey of 1,000 Thai respondents revealed that 72% had been exposed to scams, 60% had fallen victim, and losses surpassed 115 billion baht—a sobering reflection of a nationwide trust deficit.

Manwoo Joo, Chief Executive Officer of Gogolook (Thailand) said “These figures are not just statistics, they reflect broken trust in our digital lives. At Whoscall, we believe innovation matters only when it restores that trust. That is why our renewed mission is fostering trust and safety in Thai society through innovation and people power.”

Central to this mission is Whoscall’s upgraded digital protection platform, now enhanced with AI capabilities and anchored on three pillars: Protection, Community, and Innovation.
- Protection: Improved Caller ID, iOS Live Caller ID Plus, Scam Check, and ID Security to detect leaks.
- Community: Enhanced scam reporting with a badge system, Whoscall Missions with rewards, and gamified user engagement.
- Innovation: AI-driven tools such as Scam SOS, Voice Alert, and Scam Alert that merge machine intelligence with real-time community reporting.
This ecosystem is powered by Whoscall’s AI defense engine, strengthened by the Gemini model and ScamAdviser’s database of over 10 million suspicious websites—delivering faster, more precise scam detection.

Titinun Suttinaraphan, Global Marketing Director of Gogolook (Thailand) said, “At Whoscall, we use AI to create smarter features that protect Thais from every type of scam and transform our app into a community-powered protection platform. Although scammers are also turning to AI to refine their tactics, we believe AI can and should be a force for good. Through the features we develop, we empower users to actively participate in scam prevention, making digital protection a shared responsibility. At Whoscall, we harness AI technology to develop intelligent features that protect Thais from every type of scam while elevating Whoscall into a community-powered protection platform. Today the trend is clearer than ever: AI alone is not enough. To truly safeguard people, we must combine the intelligence of AI with the collective strength of the community. This is what makes Whoscall different.”

Whoscall is also expanding beyond individual protection to create a nationwide partnership ecosystem. Initiatives include collaborations with Hone Krasae for real-time scam reporting, Sansiri for safeguarding vulnerable communities, and Whoscall Mission Rewards for user engagement.
On the business side, Whoscall is advancing sustainable solutions such as:
- Verified Business Numbers (VBN) to build brand credibility and block impersonation.
- Whoscall Ads to integrate brand messaging at trusted digital touchpoints.
- Whoscall Premium membership tiers (Individual, Duo, Family) offering advanced protection features.
Whoscall has also unveiled a new brand identity and its mascot, “Vee,” symbolizing a trusted digital companion that unites communities against scams.
