Cedar Hong Kong appoints Mark Tjhung as Managing Director, elevates Senior Leadership Team

HONG KONG – Cedar Hong Kong, one of the city’s leading content marketing agencies, has announced the appointment of Mark Tjhung as its new Managing Director. The move underscores the agency’s commitment to putting creativity at the forefront while strengthening its leadership structure for continued growth.

Tjhung, who has been with Cedar Hong Kong since its launch in 2015, has played a pivotal role in shaping the agency’s editorial and strategic direction. Over the past decade, he has held key positions including Editor, Content Director, and most recently, Managing Partner. In his new role, he will oversee all of Cedar Hong Kong’s operations and client work — including flagship accounts such as Cathay and The Hong Kong Jockey Club while reporting to Jessica Haigh, Cedar’s London-based Global Managing Director.

The appointment comes on the heels of a series of senior promotions aimed at reinforcing Cedar’s creative excellence. Louise Buxton has been promoted to Business Director, Adam White to Content Director, Jowie Chan to Head of Creative, and Steve Ellul has joined as Creative Director. Together, this expanded leadership team is positioned to push creative boundaries across multiple platforms, from digital and video to print and social media.

His passion for what we deliver for our clients, and his belief in Cedar as an agency is infectious. I couldn’t be more excited to see him take on this next chapter.”

Tjhung expressed enthusiasm about leading Cedar Hong Kong into its next phase. “I’m really honoured to lead our incredibly talented team – and I’m excited about what the future holds for Cedar. Right now, so many brands are looking to elevate their content and take it to the next level. We’ve been pushing our creative boundaries in new formats and channels, and with our new structure and our brilliant senior leadership team, I’m confident we can continue to lead the content conversation.”
