SINGAPORE – Philip Brett, President of TBWA South and Southeast Asia, has appointed Ara Hampartsoumian to the newly created role of Managing Director at TBWA\Singapore.

Hampartsoumian joins TBWA\Singapore on July 21 and will report directly to Brett. His expanded responsibilities will encompass new business opportunities for both Singapore-based and international companies, as well as overseeing existing client activity for the agency.

A highly adept, 25-year veteran of the communications business, Hampartsoumian has extensive through-the-line experience having worked across a variety of agencies in Canada, the U.S., and the Bahamas. In 2006, he moved to Singapore to run a key global airline account for BBH and went on to manage business development and major regional brands for BBH Singapore.

Commenting on the appointment, Brett said, “Our focus is on delivering world-class, innovative solutions for our clients and Ara’s experience is very unique. He has an outstanding record when it comes to new business development initiatives and over 13 years of experience with major local brands.”

Brett added, “We were looking for someone with exactly that breadth of skills across multiple categories, so we’re thrilled to have Ara on board with us to help us showcase the strength and uniqueness of the TBWA brand in the Singapore market.”

“I’m looking forward to working with a strong repertoire of local, regional and global brands alongside the rest of the talented team at TBWA\Singapore,” said Hampartsoumian.
