Brands at Cannes

GLOBAL – MAY 2011 – But what are ads without the brands? More clients that ever before will be at the festival, from adidas to Yahoo! With more than 30 of them taking to the stage as part of Cannes’ learning program. Kraft Foods is the brand behind Malcolm Gladwell’s talk, as is Yahoo! In “Content as Conversation Catalyst” with their EVP for the Americas Region, Ross Levinsohn; Electus CEO and Founder, Ben Silverman; and actor and director, Robert Redford, while Google and Coca-cola share their brand stories.
 
Other brands present at Cannes are groups such as Unilever, P&G, Johnson & Johnson, and GSK (GlaxoSmithKline). Other brands include CNN, Bacardi, Ford, Mitsubishi Motors, McDonald’s, PepsiCo, Dell, Dreamworks Animation SKG, IBM, Intel, Volkswagen, and Gatorade, and many more.
 
More than being a hub for creativity, this also serves as the venue to hobnob with brand representatives. As they say, great stories start in Cannes. Who knows what new stories are in store for both the ads and the brand?
