CANNES – With a total of 259 shortlists for this year’s Media Lions, UAE gets the top spot in Asia with 5 entries, followed by Japan and China with 4, and South Korea with 3.
TBWA\RAAD Dubai gives UAE the lead with their work ‘Highway Gallery’ for Louvre Abu Dhabi which managed to nab 2 shortlists under the categories: Leisure and Use of Audio Platforms.
For Japan, Dentsu Inc. Tokyo gets 4 shortlists for their works: ‘Emergency Collectibles’ for Kobe Shimbun, ‘3D Selfie Project’ for NTT DOCOMO, Inc., ‘Alive Ad Board’ for Fuji Television Network, and ‘Election in the Dark’ for Yahoo Japan Corporation.
In China, TENCENT Shenzhen and MINDSHARE CHINA Shanghai gets 2 shortlisted entries each.
Meanwhile, MullenLowe Philippines’ ‘The Killer Chatbot’ for TBA Studios grabs a shortlist for the Philippines under Use of Branded Content created for Digital or Social category. The agency’s entry is the only Philippine-based entry that has made the cut.
