MANILA – Y&R Philippines’ Onat Roldan will step down from his role as Chief Executive Officer at the end of this month, according to Y&R Asia President Chris Foster.
Roldan was inducted as Y&R Philippines CEO just last year. Roldan has a 20-year extensive marketing communications experience, having started out as a Copywriter, Creative Director, Chief Creative Officer, before leading a Business Unit and then moving into management at one of the country’s renowned agencies.
“After 11 months, wherein I initiated the digital transformation of the Agency, I will be moving on to a new role in a complimentary industry,” Onat remarked.
Meanwhile, Y&R Philippines celebrates the promotion of long-serving Y&R veterans Agnes Almasan-Chuapoco, from Business Unit Director to General Manager, and Maya Ambalada-Roldan, from Business Unit Director to Client Service Director. Chuapoco has been serving Y&R for 14 years, while Roldan, for 23 years.
Foster said, “At Y&R, we pride ourselves on nurturing local talent from the ground-up, and while we wish Onat the very best in his future endeavours, we are also very excited to see both Agnes and Maya’s expertise and experience taking them to the next level within the organisation.
“The Philippines is a key market for Y&R, and we are confident that with Agnes and Maya at the helm, working closely with Chief Creative Officer Rey Tiempo, we will continue to see excellent growth in this market moving forwards,” he added.
