Ian Lee departs Omnicom Media Group, China

ASIA-PACIFIC – SHANGHAI, CHINA, NOVEMBER 7, 2011 – Omnicom Media Group, China, today announced the resignation of President & COO, Ian Lee, who will leave the agency in January 2012 after seven years with the group. Originally CFO, Lee was promoted to the role of President & COO in 2010.
 
Commenting on Lee’s resignation, Doug Pearce, CEO of Omnicom Media Group China, said ,“Ian has been a highly valued contributor to the agencies’ overall success and growth, particularly in establishing the finance and operating platforms and in more recent times, expanding the business into the field of program and entertainment, and building up a very solid  in-house digital trading team”.  
 
Barry Cupples, CEO, Omnicom Media Group, Asia Pacific, said, “Ian has done an outstanding job in helping to build the foundations of Omnicom Media Group, we wish him every success in his next role and thank him for his achievement in helping to build the agency into  one of the largest in China. Ian will be missed by all of us here”.  
 
Omnicom Media Group recently boosted its management team with the internal appointments of Arlene Ang as CEO of Omnicom Media Group, Digital and Gloria Li as CEO of Opera, Omnicom Media Group’s buying unit leveraging the combined billings of OMD and PHD.
