CRAFT@ADFEST 2017 and what to expect on Day 2 of ADFEST

PATTAYA – ADFEST 2017 “20 Years of Diversity” kicked off yesterday morning at PEACH, Royal Cliff Hotels Group in sunny Pattaya, Thailand. This year it is welcoming close to 1200 delegates from over 69 cities who will stream through its doors for the four-day festival, which runs from 22nd – 25th of March 2017.

The first two days of ADFEST 2017 have been designated to full program dedicated to production (including commercial production, post production, music and sound companies), digital professionals, and technological innovation.

Craft@ADFEST speakers on the podium include agencies, production companies and studios that share their secrets and give their own individual views on what makes great content better. Delegates have the pick of how to become better storytellers across different media, how to make creative ideas shine more brightly and to how to use technology to be more inventive. What better way to celebrate diversity in craft?

A full timetable of seminars is available on the ADFEST APP and official event program via the website,

In addition to the seminars that are being served up over the first two days of ADFEST 2017, delegates have the opportunity to join two applied workshops with a music theme.

The morning session is “How to Get Smarter with Music’, facilitated by Marcel A Weinberg and Niall Rogers from Sizzer. Delegates attending will be shown the critical process needed to apply music in commercials and use it as a powerful and emotive tool to propel the advertising message far beyond its expected reach.

In the afternoon, Hamish McDonald and Simon Lister from Nylon Studios present ‘A Spatial Sound VR Workshop’ to help delegates create a commercial from copy to music to sound in real time, using VR technology,

ADFEST 2017 has dedicated showcase spaces this year for production, post and visual effects, digital, data and technology companies, providing a unique networking forum delegates and exhibitors alike.

There are nineteen exhibitor booths this year. Ten production-based companies from Bangkok are sponsored by ADFEST’s Platinum Sponsor, the Department of International Trade Promotions (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, Thailand

“We are pleased to support ADFEST for this year’s event during the festival’s twentieth anniversary year. The Department of International Trade Promotion’s mission is to expand the market for Thai products and services, and over the past 20 years ADFEST has played an important role in showcasing the region’s creativity to the world. We would like to congratulate ADFEST on turning twenty this year and wish the organisation the very best for the future,” says Mrs. Malee Choklumlerd, Director General at Department of International Trade Promotion(DITP), Ministry of Commerce, Thailand.

In addition to the exhibitors supported by DITP, there are exhibitors from Bangkok, London, New York, Seoul, and Tokyo. Delegates are welcome to browse through the Production and Digital Huts and connect with them during coffee and lunch breaks.

There are giveaways to collect and competitions to enter. London International Awards have turned their booth into a café and visitors can enter a competition to win two passes for Creative LIAisons in Las Vegas, sponsored by Innocean.

Delegates should also check out Hakuhodo Product’s “Brain Drool” Exhibition that has transformed the parking lot area (PEACH Car Park Level 2). It showcases wonderful, larger than life visuals from Hakuhodo Product’s 21 photographers and 21 Art Directors from Hakuhodo.
