D&AD 2019: Award-winning Rapper and Documentary Filmmaker Professor Green is the Second Speaker Announced to Headline the D&AD 2019 Festival

LONDON–D&AD has announced award-winning rapper, singer-songwriter and documentary-maker Stephen Manderson AKA Professor Green to follow Rankin on the list of speakers headlining the three-day festival.

Making his name in the industry initially as a rapper and singer-songwriter, Professor Green has since expanded his repertoire to making documentaries like “Professor Green: Living in Poverty”, “Professor Green: Working Class White Men” and “Professor Green: Dangerous Dogs”. These thought-provoking BBC documentaries gained recognition for uncovering issues that plague society today.

From his unique spot between music and film, he is set to share his stories and insights on the industry and the current issues affecting society like mental health, depression, and suicide.

Professor Green is among the 100 diverse speakers set to make the festival an even bigger creative extravaganza than its previous years at The Old Truman Brewery in London from May 21-23. The list includes rockstars like Matt Jones from Google AI, Rob Janoff (Creator of the Apple logo) from Rob Janoff Studio, Susan Hoffman from Wieden+Kennedy, and so much more.
