adobo Design Awards: Can you make it more fun in the Philippines?

Help boost Philippine tourism in your own creative way through the adobo Design Awards theme category, which is open to all professionals, freelancers, and students (undergraduate and graduate levels).

This category gives you the chance to showcase your own take on promoting the beauty of the Philippines. You may focus on either a beautiful scenery (i.e. Mayon Volcano) or a portrayal of the country’s personality (i.e. hospitality).

Simply present a positive and memorable image of the country that can entice both foreigners and locals to explore the wonders of the Philippines.

Entries to this category must include a graphic design illustration pitch (poster format) plus a choice of the following applications (consistent with the theme):

Icon design for a bag accessory, which can be in the form of a dangle, patch, or button. You have free reign on the size, shape or placement of the design. So go crazy and impress us!

Icon design for the back cover of a mobile phone.

Deadline for submission of entries is on April  7, 2012.

Eligible works will be judged by top men and women of advertising and design measuring up to global standards of excellence. New York-based design strategist, communications consultant, and celebrated shoe designer, Brian Tenorio will head the panel of judges.

Awards Night is slated on April 20, 2012 at the Ayala Museum in Greenbelt 5.

Event partners include My Phone, Bratpack, Manila Beer, Business Mirror, Manila Bulletin, Philippine Daily Inquirer, Philippine Star, Ayala Museum and Isla Lipana PWC.
