J. Walter Thompson Shanghai wins Oishi account

SHANGHAI – J. Walter Thompson Shanghai office has won Oishi’s brand communications account, and will be responsible for its new product launch campaign. The agency is to develop and deploy services from brand communication strategy to integrated creative advertising.

With 25 years of experience in China’s food industry, parent company LIWAYWAY is recognized as one of China’s best-known companies. It owns more than 100 different types of snack foods; their newest launch ‘Kraken’ (Oishi Wavy Potato Chips) brings consumers a brand new snack experience.

The partnership will see the agency develop communication and creative strategies, helping to increase brand awareness of new product line ‘Kraken’ and to maximize sales performance.

Walter Thompson China’s offices in Shanghai and Beijing add a number of significant business wins including MengNiu, Dicos, NetEase, Skechers, Healthy Care and Oriental YuHong Waterproof Technology’s creative strategy, leading integrated branding and digital social media campaigns for their new product launches and more.

And J. Walter Thompson China began the year with several key personnel appointments, including Polo Wu (Head of Digital, JWT China), David Chee (Digital ECD), Leo Liu (Digital ECD) and Jason Wu (Business Unit GM), boosting the company’s skills in digital, creative and integrated branding.
