Kidlat 2019: TBWA SMP Bags the Most Number of Metals for The Night, Named as This Year’s Agency of the Year and Officially Concludes Creativefest 2019

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Truly an evening celebrating the best of the best in Philippine advertising, the 4As Creativefest 2019 concludes by honoring the top agencies of the country at the Kidlat Awards 2019

Hosted by Arturo Daza and Elisse Joson, the evening was kicked off with the CRAFT category awardees:

Campaigns and agencies that embraced technology with creativity were awarded next for the Creative Technology & Media category, with Leo Burnett Manila and BBDO Guerrero coming out on top. No winners were named for the Gold metal.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was then handed to legendary members of the advertising industry who paved the way for Philippine creativity to be the booming sector it is today: Cherry Gambol and Eleanor Modesto.

In this era of content, brilliant storytelling is an utmost must. With this, the campaigns who have executed it the best were awarded for the Creative Storytelling category:

Behind every award-winning campaign is a why that fuels it with the right amount of power and relevance to make a change in the world. Thus, the campaigns that served their Creative Purpose well truly deserved to be honored for its use of creativity in impacting society and the world. 

Campaigns that drove their goals home with insightful and powerful content ruled the Creative Effectiveness category, with the SILVER metals being awarded to Leo Burnett Manila and TBWA\ Santiago Mangada Puno

Some of the advertising industry’s most influential members today were given recognition as Hall of Fame awardees for their stellar work, inspiring careers and incessantly curious and creative minds.

The Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (Association of Philippine Broadcasters) also gave a special “Ad of the Year” award to Dentsu Jayme Syfu for “Belo Tennis”.

The next generation of creatives to represent the Philippines in other parts of the world will be given a chance to fly and join the Young Lions Competition in Cannes, and the Young Spikes Intergrated Competion. 

Both the prestigious Kidlat Sinag and Grand Kidlat awards were awarded to TBWA\ Santiago Mangada Puno for their astounding work on “Disgusting Stories”. 

Film Pabrika Inc. is named Production House of the Year for their consistenly stunning and moving work. 

This night’s brand with the most award-winning campaigns is Bahay Tuluyan Philippines (Shelter House):

Finally, the award everyone was waiting for! After bagging the most awards for the evening’s set of categories, TBWA\ Santiago Mangada Puno comes out on top as the 2019 Kidlat Awards Agency of the Year.
