OMD China builds up platforms teams

ASIA-PACIFIC – SHANGHAI, JULY 15, 2011 – OMD China fortifies its digital platforms front with two appointments. Grace Li has been hired to head the platforms teams in Shanghai and Guangzhou, while Rose Du – currently heading Intel’s online strategy and execution – has been promoted to head up the team in Beijing. OMD China’s Platforms department covers online planning, buying, search, analytics, SEM, social, and mobile.

Over the past year, OMD has been strengthening their platforms team structure and two new hubs comprising of two independent teams were set up in Beijing recently – Search, Measurement and Analytics. The entire Platforms planning and execution team comprise of 76 people across the Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou OMD offices, and the number is expected to reach 80 by end of the year. OMD China is also in the process of finalizing a National Platforms Lead and an announcement is expected soon.

Prior to joining OMD, Grace Li headed up the Strategic Planning Department at KU6, a top online video site in China. Grace assumed the post of Planning Director for four years at Neo Ogilvy, Beijing. SiewPing Lim, CEO of OMD China said of Li, “Grace brings to the table a deep understanding of China’s online landscape and how to best leverage online assets to benefit the client.”

Rose Du has 11 years of digital experience under her belt. Rose was voted one of China’s top 100 Internet experts in 2007/08 and was employed by Internet Society of China (ISC), to help standardize overall market measurement of Internet advertising.
