When asked what spurred them to expand PixelBox in the Philippines, Group General Manager Stephen Douglas revealed that the country has always been an interesting market for them. They want to bring their experience from China and beyond into Manila, as the work now gradually veers from traditional media and into digital forms, AR, and VR.

“The Philippines is really a place of strong growth it feels like it’s been somewhat overlooked in our industry. We want to change that and help put Manila on the map as a regional hub for media and advertising, as well as production given its great local talent and locations,” said Douglas.

SYN’s Nick Wood remarked, “We share the same creative vision to bring our style of work to Manila and offer clients a one-stop solution to music and post-production. In my 27 years of composing a producing music for commercials, I believe the post-production, music and sound design should all be working side by side, sharing creative ideas, making changes together to ensure the workflow is efficient, creative and fluid. Having PixelBox x SYN under one roof allows our clients to experience greater creative collaboration which we all believe is the future of creative businesses like SYN and PixelBox. United we stand!”

Douglas also revealed that they have more upcoming big plans such as growing their team and expanding into areas their clients require. “PixelBox Manila is just getting started. We have big plans to grow our team and expand into areas our clients require. Given our connections in China, we feel that attracting production work into Manila will play a big part of this. We are lucky to be involved in amazing projects in China involving new creative new tech. We want to expand this into Manila to share this with agencies and clients here. We have learned to be agile and adapt to the market and clients’ needs, as we develop this will remain our base.”
