Roadrunner Network folds into Star Cinema, management launches new post production company

PHILIPPINES, JULY 15, 2011 – Manet Dayrit, managing director of Roadrunner Network, announced on July 14 that the full service post production house’s Film Division, editing and audio departments will be merged with ABS-CBN’s film arm Star Cinema. Operations will continue through Roadrunner’s Quezon City branch.

Meanwhile, Dayrit and partners including Rick Hawthorne, Bonbon Jimenez, and directors Mark Querubin and Sid Maderazo are opening a new entity, which will be called Central Digital Lab. The company is in the process of finalizing its corporate identity and business name change, and will launch on August 15, 2011.

Central will continue to provide advertising post-production services as well as digital intermediate and restoration services for the film industry through Roadrunner’s Makati office on Rada St. "It’s business as usual," said Dayrit.

A similar development took place late last year when TV5 holding company MediaQuest bought into Unitel, giving the network preferred access to the production house.
