AMP wins Ginebra San Miguel non-alcoholic account

The tiger must have John Amon’s back. Ginebra San Miguel just awarded their non-alcoholic brands to his indie agency AMP Amon+Maneze Partners (AMP) yesterday, February 15, after a one-on-one against Campaigns & Grey.

The accounts in contention used to be with the mother San Miguel brand, but when the brands were moved to Ginebra, the clients decided to launch it.

Amon said, "The brands are still confidential. They’re launching the iced tea and fruit drink line, plus other specialty beverages. That’s all I can say. The rest is confidential."

There was also some indication that the campaigns would involve tri-media, which is even better news for the young agency.

"The announcement was made yesterday, just right after the Chinese New year. It’s a good start for the agency," added Amon. "We’re also hoping to eventually get the alcoholic beverages brands, but for now we are focusing on our win on the non-alcoholic beverages."
