Joji opens 2026 with new single ‘Love You Less’ ahead of fourth album release

NEW YORK, USA – Critically-acclaimed singer, songwriter, and producer Joji starts off the new year with a fresh single, “LOVE YOU LESS,” alongside an accompanying visualizer. The countdown continues until Joji’s fourth studio album, Piss Is In The Wind, is out February 6, 2026 via Palace Creek.

Produced by Ricky Reed and Nate Mercereau, “LOVE YOU LESS,” chronicles unresolved feelings around a push and pull romance. Set to a slow-burning indie-rock melody, a wistful Joji contemplates, “If I love you less, will you love me more?”

“LOVE YOU LESS” captures the essence of what Joji does best, creating resonant melancholic lyrics that endure in the minds of his fans.

With a little over a month until release, Piss In The Wind is set to bridge Joji’s sonic past and present, balancing melancholic, brooding writing with gritty yet atmospheric production. His previous singles on the album tracklist each capture a distinct sound he has previously experimented with over the course of his ten-year-long career.

Earlier this fall, Joji quietly unveiled “PIXELATED KISSES,” which marked his first new music since 2022’s SMITHEREENS, which featured the RIAA 2x Platinum, #1 Spotify Global 50 hit “Glimpse of Us.” Upon release, “PIXELATED KISSES” generated tens of millions of global streams within hours and debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, later earning placements on the Billboard Top 200 and Pop charts.

“If It Only Gets Better” recalls Joji’s lo-fi roots, weaving acoustic guitar with syncopated bass and soaring harmonies. It’s accompanied by a James Mao-directed video that playfully nods to his BALLADS 1 breakthrough “YEAH RIGHT,” counterbalancing frenetic, clubby visuals with minimal but ruminative lyrics. Meanwhile, “Past Won’t Leave My Bed” is a strong ballad that mirrors the sentiment of “Glimpse of Us.” These were followed by an expertly remixed version of “PIXELATED KISSES” featuring a verse from rapper Yeat, putting Joji’s collaborative skills on full display.

Joji’s singles from this album have amassed over 150 million streams to date.
