COMCO Mundo champions homegrown leadership with new appointments

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — As COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises gears up for its 10th anniversary this 2026, it highlights a story of a unique workplace community culture, mentorship cycle, and organizational continuity & growth, with homegrown talents stepping up to lead COMCO’s respective agencies and business units amid interregional expansion, new ventures, and milestone projects, shaping the group’s next chapter of meaningful storytelling.

COMCO Mundo has appointed its pioneer hires and homegrown talents to key leadership positions in the group of companies. Among the organization’s pioneer hires who helped lay COMCO’s groundwork for growth, community, and culture are AC Recio, Justin Harvey Llamosa, Queenie Resmundo-Orbista, Janela Bufi, and Patricia Raña. Honed by the Camp COMCO Mentorship Program, COMCO Mundo’s award-winning and internationally renowned industry-academe linkage course, apprenticeship program, and talent incubation initiative, and immersed in playing pivotal roles in the company’s foundation and growth, they are now set to lead with vision, purpose, and the same spirit of excellence that has defined COMCO Mundo from the start.

AC Recio, the Associate Director for Digital, Content & Emerging Platforms, and Storytelling Studio, and Deputy Business Administrator / Partner of SEA Wave & Spice – The Super Agency & Studio, and an alumnus of Camp COMCO Cycle 1 under House Hawksbill, was instrumental in the establishment and growth of the digital, social and content practice of the group and has worked on brands such as Intellicare, Bostik, Sony, Lalamove, Pioneer Insurance, Lamoiyan Corporation’s Licealiz Headlice Treatment Shampoo, and the European Union’s Higher Education Fair, among others. He also helped in the successful run of COMCO’s key industry-led programs – The Communications Olympiad with the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines, Doing PR in Asia with the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) International, the Students’ PR Con and 24-Hour Hack Sprint with the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), and the COMCO’s Write to Ignite initiative in its 3 seasons. AC also supported the creation of COMCO’s content arm, SEA Wave & Spice and leads the group’s Corporate BRANDENARC (Brand Identity and Architecture) program.

Justin Harvey Llamosa, Chief of Staff to the Interregional President & Group CEO and Associate Director for Executive Initiatives & Strategic Communications / Partner of COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises, is an alumnus of Camp COMCO Cycle 1 under House Bearcat and played a vital role in strengthening the agency’s corporate marketing, new business initiatives, and strategic executive accounts such as the global award-winning AirAsia’s and World Vision’s See the World, SM Cinema’s From Reel to Real: Where Movies Come Alive and Move You, WWF’s Earth Hour Youth Camp, Century Tuna’s Saving Our Seas and Superbods, Toshiba’s Beyond Details, and Generation HOPE. He also helped in the establishment of COMCO School of Communications, the training and education arm of the group, and SEA CAN (Southeast Asia Communications Agencies Network) Alliance by COMCO Mundo.

A homegrown talent and proud graduate of Camp COMCO Cycle 2 under House Flying Fox, Queenie Resmundo-Orbista serves as the Associate Director for New PR and Smart Social / Communications and Deputy Business Administrator / Partner of COMCO Southeast Asia – Pilipinas. She played a key role in the group’s MEXINAC (Media, Experts, Influencers, Activators, and Communities) program to help build awareness, credibility, and meaningful connections for brands. With nine years in the company working for brands such as Midea, Jobstreet, Personal Collection, Air Canada, Eastern Communications, TopTen10, Sony, and the Korea Tourism Organization, her journey reflects steady growth, dedication, and personal transformation.

She shared, “Growing into leadership within COMCO Mundo means evolving alongside the organization and carrying forward the culture that shaped my journey. As I lead my unit, I aim to foster a supportive and empowering environment where my team can learn, take ownership of their work, and grow with confidence and purpose.”

Janela Bufi, Senior Manager for Digital PR & Communications and Deputy Business Administrator of TARO AOX Inc. – A COMCO Mundo Company, is a distinguished graduate of Camp COMCO Mentorship Program’s Cycle 5 from House Whaleshark. She has been with the company for eight years, handling a wide range of accounts across industries and co-leading the group’s MEXINAC program. Over time, she has grown within the organization, building experience across both local and international projects with a strong focus on Technology PR, Consumer Marketing, and Corporate Communications for clients such as Samsung, Sunlife Global Solutions, Scottland Food Group, and UNILAB Foundation. In this capacity, she supported initiatives aimed at managing and strengthening the brand presence of technology-related companies and products.

She stated, “Being a homegrown leader at COMCO Mundo means loving the work and the people you grow with. I never aimed to lead. I simply focused on learning and growing, and leadership followed through experience and mentorship. Now, I hope to create the same safe and empowering space for my team, guided by both strength and empathy.”

Lastly, Patricia Raña, Associate Manager for Corporate Services and Enterprise Growth, Excellence Innovation & Advocacy and Deputy Business Administrator of Sundaica Shared Services & Enterprise Community, is also a proud graduate of Camp COMCO in its 9th Cycle under House Hawksbill. She has played a vital role in strengthening corporate governance and administrative systems. She also plays an integral part in administering the group’s ACTDEV (Agency Culture and Team Development) initiative and Camp COMCO Mentorship Program which is designed to transform communication, marketing, and multimedia arts students and fresh graduates into industry-ready practitioners.
