A hot fifth anniversary issue for adobo magazine

For its fifth anniversary, adobo magazine, the country’s premier advertising, design and brand communications publication, offers a meaty issue with the summer sizzle fitting the season.

On the cover: ad god-turned-COMMONer and undoubtedly one of the hottest admen in the world, Alex Bogusky, of the renowned ad agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky, who talks about his current work as chief creative insurgent and consumer advocate at FearLess Cottage in an exclusive Q&A.

The Fiery Five special lists the hottest media, people, ads and agencies, plus The Gunn Report 2010 top fives of the top ads and agencies in the world. A summer-ready Centerfold features Filipino ad agency creatives from the Adobo Creative Rankings who are ready to go places this summer.

Profiles of pioneering New York-based Filipina graphic designer Lucille Tenazas, top fashion photographer Mark Nicdao, and in-demand TV commercials director Carlo Directo, and Havas Media’s global CEO Alfonso Rodes are also in the issue.

The contenders for Ad of the Year 2010 and the Super Bowl spots complement entertainment reviews, the Creative Review by Richard Copping of Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific, and other regular sections, including Trendspotting, which presents Dan Matutina’s illustrated map of The Collective. A new section called the Adobo Exhibit, where creatives can display their visual works outside of advertising, hosts the fine calligraphic work of Lowe Philippines’ Leigh Reyes.

Local, regional and global news and features on advertising are supplemented by media and digital sections, including Leo Burnett & Arc Worldwide’s regional digital director Neil Hudspeth’s discussion on the always-on strategy for brands.
