Think HQ appoints Sarah Wood as Sydney Director amid national expansion efforts

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – Melbourne-based communications agency Think HQ has appointed Sarah Wood as its new Sydney Director. The announcement marks a significant milestone for the fully integrated, purpose driven agency, as it cements its presence in the competitive Sydney market following a period of rapid growth.

This leadership transition follows Think HQ’s acquisition of LOUD Communications in 2024, a move that propelled the agency into the upper ranks of Australia’s independent agencies. Wood succeeds Lorraine Jokovic, former LOUD CEO and most recently Sydney General Manager at Think HQ, who played a pivotal role in the integration process. Jokovic is stepping down after successfully overseeing the merger and establishing a strong operational foundation in Sydney.

Wood brings with her a wealth of leadership experience across the creative, communications, and innovation sectors. Most recently, she served as Managing Director at creative innovation agency SLIK, where she led a period of impressive growth, increasing revenue by over 50% and expanding the agency’s client portfolio through a focus on integrated, high impact campaigns.

Her earlier career includes more than a decade at global experience agency Imagination, where she held senior roles across the Asia Pacific region. There, she was instrumental in managing Telstra’s national account and leading Ford’s business across Asia Pacific and Africa, including the successful establishment of Imagination’s Shanghai operations.

In her new role, Wood will focus on expanding Think HQ’s integrated service offering in Sydney – including strategic planning, creative production, public relations, social media, technology and language services. She will be building on a foundation that already includes major clients such as CommBankNetflix and Lipton.

Think HQ Founder and Managing Director Jen Sharpe said, “Sarah is an ideal fit for Think HQ’s growth ambitions and values. She is a dynamic, innovative, smart, strategic and successful creative business leader, with a commitment to diversity and cross-cultural expertise built working across diverse markets.

“We’re excited to have Sarah join us to lead Think HQ into the next stage of our growth out of Sydney and beyond. I want to thank Lorraine for sharing our vision and so smoothly and successfully integrating her team and clients into Think HQ over the past 10 months. Her transition work has given us a strong foundation to drive further growth through Sydney as she hands the baton to Sarah.”

Think HQ Sydney Director Sarah Wood said, “Think HQ’s unique capability to understand today’s Australia, their commitment to positive change and high performing integrated offer is what drew me to this role. I’m passionate about amplifying that impact while driving commercial growth and expanding Think HQ’s reach in Sydney.”
