’Resurrection’ stars to visit the Philippines

MANILA – Kurtwood Smith and Omar Epps will be visiting the Philippines as part of a regional tour promoting Resurrection, a new scripted series that premieres on May 12.

The 8-episode series premiered in the United States to soaring ratings, garnering 13.3 million viewers for its opening episode and earning it the title of the season’s most-watched regular time slot drama, edging out The Blacklist and The Walking Dead!

What if someone you lost…returned? The premise of the series revolves around the people of Arcadia, Missouri, whose lives are forever changed when their deceased loved ones suddenly start to return. An 8-year-old American boy wakes up alone in a rice paddy in a rural Chinese province with no idea how he got there. Details start to emerge when the boy, who calls himself Jacob, recalls that his hometown is Arcadia and an immigration agent, Martin Bellamy, takes him there. Upon returning to his home, the town and its people are forever changed, for Jacob died over 30 years, and in Resurrection, he is but the first.
