Araneta Center Hosts “FilipinAmazing: Honoring Filipino Women” program in Celebration of Women’s Month

Araneta Center launched “FilipinAmazing: Honoring Filipino women” at the Araneta Center” to celebrate the International Women’s Month 2019. The program will hold several activities in showcasing the many ways of empowering a Filipina.

#DontTellMeHowToDress exhibit is the first part of the FilipinAmazing program. The exhibit brings the issues of rape, sexual harassment, and violence against women into light. It will be inaugurated by Ambassador Harald Fries of Embassy of Sweden, United Nations Population Fund Representative Iori Kato, and Ms. Vickie Garchitorena of SPARK!, March 1 at Gateway Mall. The exhibit will run from March 1 to 8.

On March 2 at 4PM, a free fitness party will be held at the Manhattan Row. This will be led by the Addlib Dance Studio, and will be known as a “Neon Fitness Party” which includes lessons from bellydancer Jill Ngo and a Zumba activity with Regine Tolentino. Special guests include Miss Intercontinental 2018 Karen Gallman, Bb. Pilipinas Grand International Eva Patalinjug, and Bb. Pilipinas Supranational Jehza Huelar.

There will also be Women’s Bazaar at Gateway Mall from March 15 to 17. This bazaar aims to promote artisanal Pinay-made items made by women from Spark-sponsored communities, including communities from Marawi. 

The “Filipinamazing: Honoring Filipino Women” is sponsored by Araneta Center, SPARK! Philippines, Novotel, Pizza Hut, Flawless, Ever Bilena, and Rustans.
