The ‘open call’ business

GLOBAL, UNITED STATES – OCTOBER 8, 2012 – Ross Dawson, co-author of “Getting Results From Crowds” with Steve Bynghall, believes that crowdsourcing is changing the world.

“In particular, crowdsourcing is transforming corporate marketing and the role of agencies, and how media and content are created. Understanding in detail the best examples of success in these fields opens up new pathways to creating massive value.”

On October 25-26, Dawson will be leading workshops on crowdsourcing at the Interactive Advertising Bureau in New York City. On the first day, he will discuss “Crowdsourcing for Marketing in Enterprise & Agencies”. On Friday, he will cover “Crowdsourcing for Media and Content”.

The workshops are first in a series that will go around the world (Paris, Stockholm, Shanghai, Rio de Janeiro, Amsterdam, Berlin) in the coming months. It will culminate in Crowdsourcing Week Asia, an international conference to be held in Singapore in April 2013. The programs are the brainchild of Epirot Ludvik Nekaj, CEO of Ludvik + Partners, an advertising agency that is itself crowdsourced

Nekaj said, "Crowdsourcing promises to revolutionize international business practices by putting the entire world within ‘commuting distance’ of a project or even an entire company."

Supporting sponsors for the workshops are 99designs, zooppa, CrowdFlower & eYeka. Admission for each half-day workshop is $165. Prospective attendees can find complete information, including agendas for both workshops, and sign up at the workshops’ website: http://crowdsourcingweek.com/csw-workshops-nyc-2012/
