Cheil Worldwide sponsors Spikes Academy for the third time

ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, SEPTEMBER 08, 2011: Spikes Asia and Cheil Worldwide are once again teaming up to form the Spikes Asia Student Academy, offering a unique educational programme for a select group of 15 students from across Asia Pacific.

Taking place during the three-day Spikes Asia Festival, the Academy students currently in tertiary education studying advertising, marketing and communications, will be tutored by Noor Azhar, a lecturer on Visual Communication and Media Design at Singapore Polytechnic.

The students will benefit from a tailored agenda which will include exclusive access to personalized tutorials and masterclasses from top industry figures, as well as participating in the Spikes Asia seminar, workshop programme and networking events, giving them an exceptional first-hand insight into the creative advertising and communications industry. The Academy’s activities will culminate in a graduation ceremony.

The students participating in the 2011 Spikes Asia Academy are, from China, Chen Wang of Tsinghua University; from Hong Kong, Chan Hop Lao Henry of Savanna College of Art & Design and Iris Chang Ka yu of Hong Kong Polytechnic University; from India, Punit Chadha of Delhi University and Vivek Agarwal of Mumbai University; from Indonesia, Lolitya Anindita of Universitas Gadjah and Doppy Catur Prasetya of Gadjah Mada University Yogyakarta; from Japan, Takuma Namba of University of Waseda and Shuto Umemura of Tama Art University; from Korea, Kim Ko Eun of Dongkuk University and Yeon You Jin of Ewha University; from Singapore, Ian Gregory Tan of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts; from Sri Lanka, Pathum Vishvakarma and Shanika Perera of Academy of Design; and from Taiwan, Cheng Hui Chun of National Chengchi University.
