BREAKING NEWS: NuWorks Interactive appoints Joey David Tiempo as Executive Creative Director

MANILA – NuWorks Interactive Labs have recently announced the appointment of Joey David Tiempo as its new Executive Creative Director. She has just wrapped up her stint as ECD of TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno last January 15, 2017, and is now set to lead the young and agile creative team of the country’s leading independent digital innovations agency starting February 22, 2017. Joey will be overseeing creative vision and direction for NuWorks Interactive Labs’ diverse set of blue chip clientele.

Jeff Saez, Chairman and President of NuWorks said that “Joey is a great addition to our growing team. We’ve been in the search for a creative lead for quite some time now and we’ve found a match. She has the creative brilliance with the right kind of geekiness that we are looking for. I’m positive that she will bring the agency to greater heights and win in territories that matters most. With Joey onboard, NuWorks will deliver outstanding creativity, insightful data, and progressive technology to our clients all in equal strengths.”

Joey’s body of work has been recognized at Cannes Lions, One Show, D&AD, AWARD Awards, Clio, Spikes Asia, LIA and AdFest. She has been invited to serve as jury in the Cannes Lions, New York Festivals, Spikes Asia, Adfest and AdStars. Joey is also responsible for winning the Philippines’ first Webby Award.

A writer, an art director and web designer, Joey puts all these skills to use in pursuing her advocacies such as the award-winning MANIKAKO (My Doll) — a non-profit organization that teaches creativity and environmental responsibility to children. In her spare time, which is not very much, Joey is the co-creator and virtual manager of Mistula — the country’s first rock band with dolls as band members.

Moving to NuWorks, Joey stated that “I’ve always felt like I’ve been skimming the surface of digital when there are more interesting possibilities beyond marketing and communications, like gaming and immersive environments. Moving to Nuworks and deeper into tech will allow me to work closely with makers and builders who will help me tell stories differently and create innovative experiences for people. 2017 is a great year to be a nerd.”
