Mindshare Philippines’ Managing Director Bunny Aguilar has resigned, to ‘recharge his batteries’ for the long-term, according to GroupM CEO Mitos Borromeo.
The departure was a surprise for the industry. After Aguilar joined Mindshare in 2007 as General Manager, the WPP-owned shop received its third consecutive Media Excellence Award (generally considered equivalent to Media Agency of the Year) from the 4As.
Previously, Aguilar was one of the industry’s youngest high-level suits, handling blue-chip consumer accounts at Ogilvy & Mather, Lowe and Leo Burnett. A replacement will reportedly be named soon.
