Akira Kagami, Dentsu’s Executive Officer and Global Executive Creative
Director, has become the first-ever Cannes jury president from Japan.
Kagami will lead the 2009 Cannes Lions Outdoor Jury.

"Outdoor isn’t outdated. It is a category with lots of room for fresh
thinking. I truly look forward to seeing many great ideas", says
Kagami. In his 30 years at Dentsu, Kagami has worked on every type of
brand possible. He is currently focusing on strengthening Dentsu’s
creative network and client work in Asia.

Matthew Bull, Chairman of Lowe Bull and Worldwide Creative Director of
Lowe, will chair the Radio Jury. After founding Lowe Bull in 1996 and
becoming CEO of Lowe’s flagship office in London in 2003, Matthew Bull
returned to his native South Africa in 2006 to resume day-to-day
control of his agency whilst still retaining his position as Lowe’s
Worldwide Creative Director.

"It’s clearly an honour to be chosen as the Jury President – Radio is
one of the oldest advertising mediums around but this year the jury
and I will certainly be hoping it’s one of the freshest", said Bull on
his role as Radio Lions jury president.
