Singapore – The Changi Airport Group names DDB and OMD as creative and media agencies-of-record. TBWA, Young & Rubicam and McCann Erickson also pitched for the creative account, amounting to US$3.5 million.
DDB will develop and manage through-the-line communications aimed at building corporate branding and harnessing strategic partnerships for Changi Airport Group and Changi Airport. In mid-July, Tribal DDB was appointed its digital agency-of-record.
OMD will take on media planning and buying. Its first task is to create branding efforts for the company.
A recent revamping of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore has placed the Changi Airport Group under the Temasek Holdings. The revamped aviation authority has also named DDB Singapore its agency-of-record.
“We are delighted and honored to play a role at this key juncture in creating, building and reinforcing an iconic Singapore brand experience,” said Neil Johnson, chief creative officer of DDB Group Singapore, in a statement.
Allan Lee, Changi Airport Group division head for marketing and branding, said “We look forward to working with DDB to take the Changi Airport brand to the next level.”
