DM9 JaymeSyfu promotes Jerry Hizon as Di9it ECD

MANILA — DM9 JaymeSyfu and DM9-Di9it announced a round of promotions, which saw some of their best creative talents taking on leadership roles in the group. Jerry Hizon is now DM9-Di9it’s new Executive Creative Director while Biba Cabuquit and Miko Quiogue are now Creative Directors with DM9 JaymeSyfu.

Di9it’s New ECD Jerry Hizon: A Heart for both Creativity and Data

With over 20 years of award-winning creative experience under his belt, DM9 JaymeSyfu Creative Director Jerry Hizon is the new Executive Creative Director of DM9-Di9it.

Hizon has reaped international and local awards from almost all the award shows including Cannes, Clio, Spikes, AdFest, LIAA, New York Festivals, THE WORK, AWARD, Araw, and Kidlat. In 2012, he was ranked by Adobo Magazine as the country’s #3 Creative Director. He has also handled some of the top accounts of DM9 JaymeSyfu including Smart Bro, Smart Postpaid, PLDT SME Nation, Max’s Restaurants, and Belo Essentials.

To prepare for the role, Jerry went to DDB Tribal Amsterdam as part of an exchange program. In his 3 months there he worked on global digitally-led campaigns for Heineken, Mcdonald’s, Execedrin, adidas, and KLM.

His natural creative instincts, which he has honed through the years, combined with his keen analytical mind makes him the perfect ECD for Digit,” shares Carlo Ople, Managing Director & Partner of DM9-Di9it.

Hizon hit the ground running after assuming his ECD role in DM9-Di9it. He recently just led the team in winning two pitches: BPI and one undisclosed restaurant chain.

DM9 Veterans Cabuquit and Quiogue: Freshly Minted Creative Directors

In Biba’s 7 years in DM9 she’s brought home a heap of metals. This includes awards from The One Show, Cannes Lions, The Work, and AWARD. She truly transformed and stepped up as a creative leader in the agency last year by delivering remarkable integrated ATL/Digital work which included the award-winning Panty Whiners campaign of Carefree.

Biba was also part of the first-ever Cannes Lions SEE IT. BE IT., an initiative that saught to propagate female Creative leaders. She was among 12 women from all over the world that were handpicked to undergo a 3-day program in Cannes last year.

Miko joined DM9 in 2008 as Art Director and has had a string of successful campaigns that led to his promotion as Associate Creative Director in 2012 and now Creative Director. Miko has worked on some of the biggest accounts of DM9 and Di9it, which includes Smart, PLDT, Max’s, Pharex, TV5, Tanduay, and J&J.

On the creative front he’s also brought home numerous accolades highlighted by his work for Pharex, “Center of Attention”. The ad got several awards from The One Show, The Work, AdFest, Spikes, NYF, AWARD, da&d, Clio, and Cannes Lions.

Last year he went to Brazil for a creative bootcamp with ad agency Naked Sao Paolo for the FIFA World Cup.

These moves will definitely strengthen DM9 Jayme Syfu /Digit’s creative performance all the more. To date, Campaign Brief Asia has just named the small shop as the number one creative agency in the Philippines and the current 4As Agency of the Year.
