Ferrari reigns as the Super Car of the Year

One Esplanade turned fast and the furious last night, with hot chicks and hot wheels on centerstage at the 5th Annual C! Awards.

Hosted by C! magazine, the country’s premiere car magazine, the 5th Annual C! Awards gave props to the best cars that hit the scene from March 2008 to March 2009.

Twenty-six categories were awarded, but the most awaited ones were given to Audi R8 as the Sports Car of the Year, and the Super Car of the Year to no other than the blazing red Ferrari California.

Danny Isla, president of Lexus Manila, was the recipient of the first Pocholo Ramirez Achievement Award.

The award was named after the Philippine racing legend Pocholo Ramirez, who died last March at the age of 76. During his career, Ramirez was honored with the Driver of the Year award six times. At 68 years old, he was the Blaze Super Saloon Champion.

Giving more reason to celebrate, C! magazine  recently opened its office in South Korea, reinforcing its position as the best automobile magazine in the region.
