Baskin-Robbins expands to the Philippines

MANILA, APRIL 30, 2013 – American ice cream parlor Baskin-Robbins is expanding to the Philippines, setting up shop in major metropolitan areas in the country, through a master licensing agreement with IceDream Inc.

“We are very excited to partner with IceDream, Inc., whose leaders have a deep understanding of the Filipino consumer and a proven track record of success in the local restaurant industry, to develop Baskin-Robbins in the Philippines,” said Giorgio Minardi, president of Dunkin’ Brands International.

"With Southeast Asia becoming an increasingly important region for the Baskin-Robbins brand, we look forward to serving our guests in the Philippines our wide variety of ice cream flavors, custom ice cream cakes and frozen treats,” he added.

Baskin-Robbins is planning to develop up to 50 locations across the Philippines over the next five years.
