The Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA) launches the PANATA Awards 2009 initiating the annual program that recognizes outstanding marketing communication materials or campaigns that promote positive Filipino values.
“True to PANA’s advocacy of ‘Truth in Advertising’, the PANATA Awards seeks to encourage member companies, composed of the top advertisers in the country, to develop communication campaigns that promote exemplary Filipino values by recognizing and rewarding the effectiveness of their campaigns,” says PANA President Charmaine Canillas.
The PANATA awards champions traditional Filipino values reflected in marketing or advertising communications such as love of family, respect for elders, philanthropy, volunteerism, love of country, among other related traits.
Open exclusively to PANA members, the awards have six categories: advertising (TV, radio, print, tri-media, ambient), direct marketing (mailers, collaterals and sales kits), interactive / internet marketing, sales promotions (consumer, trade), public relations and special events.
Eligible materials for the PANATA Awards cover the period from October 2008 to October 2009. Submit entries to the PANA secretariat, along with the official entry form on or before the deadline of November 30, 2009.
Announcement of winners is on January 2010. A specially designed trophy by National Artist Napoleon Abueva awaits the winners.
