Futuristic shows illuminate the Ayala Triangle Gardens for the annual Festival of Lights

MAKATI CITY – It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Ayala!

Now on its fifth year, Ayala Land, with co-presenter HSBC and partner Coca-Cola launched the Festival of Lights at the Ayala Triangle Gardens on Monday, November 9.

“For five consecutive years, we have been giving world-class entertainment at Ayala Triangle Gardens that people have come to love and anticipate. Now an annual tradition, the Lights and Sound show will continue to brighten the Christmas celebrations of Filipinos this year,” said Manny Blas II, Ayala Land Vice President and Project Development Head for Makati.

The festival features three shows that will run from November 9 to January 4, every 30 minutes from 6pm-9pm everyday. Directed by Voltaire de Jesus and Luther Gumia, and the musical scores arranged by Jazz Nicholas and Mikey Amistoso of Watusi Manila, the first show is a medley of classic Christmas favourites but with a twist, a fusion of big band music with Jazz tones. The second show is a combination of traditional and modern African music with indigenous drum beats and other local instruments. The third show transforms the classic Christmas street carols into a mix of techno and electronic dance music.

The launch was attended by Jaime Zobel de Ayala and the Zobel family, executives and staff of Ayala Land, HSBC, and MasterCard.
