Globe digital AOR in pitch

Two months after re-awarding its massive media AOR to incumbent Universal McCann, Philippine telco Globe Telecom has put its digital AOR in play as well.         

Up for pitch are Globe’s total digital work, including creative, strategy and media. Six agencies are under consideration, down from a larger earlier list. Sources say the roster includes incumbent Harrison Communications/Yehey, DentsuIndio, OgilvyOne, Netbooster, K2IA and Bates141.

The decision to appoint a separate digital AOR indicates the medium’s central role in telecommunications marketing, amid fierce battles for broadband share and mobile content. Smart Telecommunications’ digital AOR is TribalDDB.
