Campaign Spotlight: BBDO Shanghai’s New Campaign for CEO Roundtable Proves That Data Remains Oblivious On One Very Important Thing – Mental Health

SHANGHAI – Big data is fundamentally changing our world. Many companies have also begun to use big data to “manage” their employees. Through data tracking, we can learn about employees’ schedule, time allocation, work schedule and any other behaviours that can be measured by data. However, the mental health of employees can’t be identified by data. Your company knows all your data, but does it really know you?

BBDO Shanghai uncovered this insight and helped CEO Roundtable on Cancer-China create a campaign titled Knowing Nothing to let the public know more about mental health training courses, to increase awareness about mental health diseases, and help companies identify employees’ mental health diseases and provide support, before it’s too late.

In addition to the film, 3 key visuals are being released to convey the campaign messaging that “a company knows all your data, but it doesn’t know you”. The key visuals show 3 different people’s life and behaviours in company, but all data obtained wasn’t able to predict the last thing they do at end the day — suicide. If a company is able to identify signs of mental health diseases, it can help change the lives of their employees for the better.
